Facing a life-limiting illness, chronic pain, end-of-life, and grief and loss is heavy and life-changing. You may feel lost, alone, and fearful that these feelings will never end. Counseling can provide a safe space to process your thoughts, the many feelings including; anxiety and depression, anger, loneliness, physical symptoms of fatigue, muscle tension, headaches, and spiritual questions.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years experience working with families and client's in palliative care, facing end-of-life transitions, and grief and loss. My therapy style is a narrative, person-centered approach with CBT, motivational-interviewing, and expressive-arts. I am also trained in EMDR which has been found to be a very effective treatment for sudden and traumatic losses.
Therapy will give you the tools to help you navigate the ups and down's of grief. Learning what to expect, finding ways to nurture yourself, honor your loved one, and equipping you with coping tools for the heavy days.
